Thats ridiculous. What you say is 100% correct for - When was the name TE formed?Renegade said:Forming is a process and formed is an end state. So when was TE formed?
Anyway for the curious ones who joined recently...
During Dec 2004 Safin was just dabbling with the forum software and the website was known by some other name. In fact we did not even know that we will call the forum TechEnclave up until Feb 2005.
It was Apex who came up with that name after he joined at the end of Jan 2005. During the first week of Feb, many of us spent several nights in MSN messenger group chat trying to come up with a name. Trying to fit tech in every random word that we could think of.
Finally Apex came up with a name which just felt right because Google threw up the following meaning.. It reflected everything that we wanted to achieve with TE.![]()
The moment Safin started working with the forum software, he unintentionally started the forum TE. It didn't matter what it was called back then because ultimately it was the very same forum with just a different name. So basically just cause the name was changed, the forum was formed then?
What you're talking about deals entirely with the name of the forum where as your question asked when the forum on a whole was formed. Theres a difference.
PS - Yes I voted for 2004 :angel1:
EDIT ... WAIT: This definitely was a tricky question because one could say that TE was formed the moment Safin started the site cause it didn't matter what it was called as essentially it is the same thing that existed back then (2004). While one could also say that TE was formed the moment its name was declared as TE (2005).
So basically shouldn't both be correct?
