Godaddy transaction in Rupees - HDFC

I bought an hosting account for a friend 3 days back from godaddy, the payment was in Rupees.

I just checked my hdfc credit card logs, they have charged me conversion fee n tax. WTF

If I was charged in rupees by godaddy, why has hdfc added conversion fee??

Godaddy just displays the price in rupees for convenience. The actual charge will be in USD only.

+1, with VCC (e.g netsafe) sometimes you can escape the tax
