Good AC Suggestions

Is this best time to buy a AC Yes/No? If yes please suggest a good AC for my bedroom.

My Requirements/details

1.No kit kit sound (should be completely silent).

2.usage will be mornings,afternoon and night (everyday usage in summer).

3.have sunrays in bedroom.

4.my house is on top of the apartment building 5 floors ( window ac or split advice plz)

5.bacterie free/fungas free

6.should cover the room.

7.low power consuption and low maintenence also good service

8.resalve value.

9.LCD remote must.

Budget is 15k to 20k.

Please dont start brand war. keep this thread healthy and suggest a good AC. :P
 
buddy.. first of all.. it does not really make any sense to buy a ac now and keep till the summers to run then. If ur hoping for a discount by buying now, dont count on it.. and also as almost all brands launch new models nearly every year..

And secondly if u want people to advice an ac tell us ur location, room size..

thirdly if u want no noise..then ud probably have to go split.. but then u also want it in a budget of 15-20k.. so tats almost impossible.. leave alone a split.. even a good window ac (1.5t) like general would cost u upwards of 20k.. so either compromise on noise or else increase ur budget..

but then again dont buy an ac now hoping for a discount..

Why not now? i have heard that dealers want to clear the stock so we consumers can bargain and get the discount price :P and about the location my house is located at the top of the apartment building (top of 5 floors). im not sure about the room size (not accurate). the room is quite normal (big) and budget is stretchable, I need best bang for buck! Pour in your suggestions.
 
^^ dude but like i said almost all companies come out with new models nearly every year.. so even if u get a discount of 2-3k id say think again before buying it.

my suggestions would be ONIDA / ELECTROLUX / for vfm brands
Other brands CARRIER / BLUESTAR

Top of theline but costly brands OGENERAL / DAIKIN / HITACHI

Stay away from LG / SAMSUNG / ANYTHING KOREAN.

Might you have missed this one :)

best bang for the buck depends on whether you plan to save when you buy or on running costs. The latter will easily outpace the former over the 10yr life of the compressor.
