I watched Dragon Ball Z long ago. I recently finished watching death note (Amazing anime :ohyeah: kept me on the edge of my seat every episode).

I think I prefer something short like Death Note instead of the really long affair that was Dragon Ball Z (37 vs 250 episodes).

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni

^^^ Seriously, DBZ the best ??

@OP: You should start with easier anime's rather than jumping to complex one's first.

I would suggest you start with naruto, Even though its a long series I'm sure you will enjoy each and every episode and if you are like me, you would end up watching almost 10 - 15 episodes per day :P

I've only seen DBZ and was pretty much hooked to it, watching like 30 episodes a day.

Such innocent pleasure it is.

I'm thinking of jumping to Naruto now.

Also a small request to watch all anime's except DBZ in japanese with english subtitles.Otherwise you won't enjoy any anime to its fullest.

Gee, lots of naruto fans out here. :D

All right, I'll take naruto.

Do you guys recommend watching naruto in japanese with english subs or the english dub?

I am probably the biggest anime fan on this site, and I have always found that the best Japanese animes are the Slice of Life ones. For starters Clannad and its sequel Clannd:After Story are excellent and very emotional. For a beginner I highly recommend Organize, Discuss, Discover - MyAnimeList.net. It is the best way to find new anime to watch based on what you already like because of its excellent recommendation feature. If you liked DBZ, I think you will love Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
