It seems that everybody's rep has been reset to 10. And there's no notification for receiving rep. Can you please rectify that ?

Unfortunately passwords do not get migrated from IPB to VB so everyone has to go through a password reset. I know it is an inconvenience but can't help it. :( This whole migrating is an irritating process for us too.

I did not have to go through password reset :P
Need new themes for vB

Safin will comment on the rep count but it seems we will all start from scratch. Good in a way that everyone is on a level playing field. :p

No, they are intact I guess. I never looked at my post count though but I think they are intact.
@Renegade , @Safin : It will be better if we get the reputation stats back (Never cared about Like counts, I loved Reputation System more ;))

If you are experiencing "Missing Avatar", "Private Messaging Function Missing" sorta issues, read this post..

Couple of important features that you use are disabled default on new TE by due to migration process, you will need to reactivate them in order to use.
Some settings you would like to change on new TE :
  • Enable Private Messaging -


  • Change Thread Display Options -


  • User Tagging Settings (Can leave it UNCHANGED)

  • ​Go to User Tag Options (Settings - TechEnclave)
  • Enable restrictions if you don't want to tag others or don't let others tag you.

Also see the issue that currently we can't see how many rep points we have in our profile. The obvious trick to see it is so pesky. Thanks.

@Safin Great work buddy. Hats off to the whole team for bringing the TE in so less time. I guess you guys are still working on many things, so I'll suggest the other members to wait for a day and then report the problems. :)

Can't understand how can someone do this kind of migration if its been done by a 3rd party i would have beaten him down.

Migrating isn't about just backup and restore of database. Both are completely different platforms. I am sure, both uses different encryption algorithms, you will end up with password curroption with it obviously. Thanks to admins for writing scripts to make all the information intact.

Since all the information like "Likes" and "reputations" are stored under different tables in both the platform, it is hard to convert. You know, hardly few hours passed after migrations. Admins are still fixing the things up. Any 3rd party would ask minimum 5-10days for migrating your boards (plus some huge figured amount). TE staff tried best to keep forum online while migrating. Thats a huge thing itself.
