Hi,
My friend Atreya (member here and mod at animestan) recently bought 2 sticks of 1GB DDR2 667MHz Transcend Ram with JetRam chips from RC Automation, Ritchie Street for 3.7k each. Very nice price i should say, since i got the Dynet(A-data) 533MHz for the same price about a month back.

ram prices have fallen... i know in s'pore, the price for a kingston or corsair ddr2-667 1Gb stick is currently about S$100, or Rs2.9k... good time to buy :)

they can easily do 800 -- 850mhz with a little bit of voltage

Those were the old batches that we got. Now its doing arnd 780~800 max with arnd 2.1 V. I got a couple of sticks for my frend's AM2 system.

My sticks do upto 860(4-5-4-12) easily with arnd 2.25V set in Bios.

Donno why people get uber RAM 3 times this price even now :P , just for 140 Mhz more at almost same timings. Dnt flame me...jus joking :)

now yes maybe you can debate about it and how much credit does your credit card company give you.. :P but back then the prices used to be way off locally and it made more sense to get it from memorypc

btw some one was looking for you,, was rather upset that you didnt show up :P

Which one to get for around SGD100 and from where? Any reliable shops? Can i hope to get 850+MHz with the kingston or corsair?

^ I'm not sure what chips those Transcends have, but when I bought mine, they were guaranteed D9GMH.

Mine did 880Mhz (4,4,4,12 @ 2.3v) :ohyeah:

I suppose the price reduction is due to the whole thing about new value ddr2 800 memory. Supposedly these value chips will do 800 MHz without the need of higher volting as most of the current ddr2 800 memory will do the recommended timings at 1.9 and above volts. These are supposed to be JEDEC @ ddr2 800, so should do it @ 1.8V only.

Read something about this two days back. Not very sure of the source. Was the company developing these chips samsung?

Anyways great pricing now...finally ddr2 becomes as cheap as it used to be back in ddr's glory days...
