Budget 10-15K Good , robust cameraphone for wife

Hi ,

Looking for a replacement for the 2yr old Redmi 2 that she has currently

1. Budget?
A: INR 10k-15k (bit flexible)

2. Preferred display size, type and resolution?
A: 5.0"-5.5", IPS LCD/AMOLED, FHD and above

3. Preferred operating system? (Android (with version), iOS, Windows Phone etc).
A: Android 6/Nougat and above

4. Preferred connectivity options? (4G, 3G, 2G etc).
A: 3G is enough

5. Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them.
A: Has to be branded, have tried many alternative brands in the past (Asus,Leeco,Xiaomi) somehow not a good experience. Tilting towards Samsung, Sony, Moto - but should have good build quality & camera.

6. What is your intended use for this phone (internet, camera, multimedia, mails etc.)?
A: Camera, whatsapp and internet

7. Single SIM/ Dual SIM?
A: No preference

8. New or Used? Online or Offline?
A: New. Don’t mind buying online- preferred FK , but recent mobile buying experience with Flipkart has been bad.. Two recent buys turned dead very quickly !

9. Any other requirements?
A: Need good battery backup, microSD card slot if internal storage < 32GB

10. If you have already considered a phone, then please mention the model

I highly doubt that. I think currently they are giving a 1500 cashback on 3T. But I'm not expecting a heavy price cut.
I would recommend Moto G5 plus. The build quality is good and the camera is quite decent. I got it for mom during the recent flipkart sale and she's quite happy with it.

if you haven't already bought a phone yet, the Moto X force is on sale on Amazon for 12999/-
Single sim, quad HD display, 21 mp camera etc, SD 820 or 850 cant remember. It got the nougat update recently. Superb buy for the price. I would have bought it if it had dual sim support.

Moto X force shows up at 15,999 on Amazon and it doesnt have VOLTE. Also has the Snapdragon 810 which had a lot of heating issues so might not be such a good buy after all.

since you are interested in a phone with better camera try moto x force even though specs are a bit low. If you want better specs and just a decent camera you can settle for redmi note 4
