Actually, even I was looking to invest some cash in a good sound system, ill mostly be picking up a 300W Alpine 12" sub which am getting for fairly cheap price, just wanted to know how much a good amp to support the same would cost. also, howmuch does sound damping might cost?

i read in that xbhp site that our friend got a 7950 installed is his car recently, 10k right? has it dropped in price any more? me thinking of buying one

and what did he couple it with? which speakers?
