i want to buy a good quality spike guard! please advise for some good reliable/affordable spike guard.

I picked up this Belkin Home Series for 1k, freakin rock solid spike guard! Excellent build quality! HIGHLY recommended!

I got mine from Computer Shop, Bangalore, where are you located?

OP says affordable.

No clue as to how much he's willing to spend but I believe MX has some decent spike guards if not as top notch in quality compared to the Belkin types. Not as expensive either.

<500 bucks would get you a 6-socket MX spike guard. I've been using a 5-socket one and does the job pretty well.

yeah MX is pretty decent and very good for its price. a 6 socket one comes for around 300 bucks. KMD has one in his case modding GO. take a look.

Got a MX 4 socket with individual switches for 450 bucks........works well........

Belkin home looks and feels like a quality product. Got it for 800 at Kukreja bangalore
