Google: Call phones from Gmail

yup.. u can call ne US number, be it mobile or landline free of cost..

i think u need to be on a USA IP or it won't show you the call phones option.

here in india the call phones option wont show in gmaill unless i connect thru a US vpn. google.com/voice was also not accessible till i added a us number. But after adding a us number to google voice (via vpn), gv now allows me to initiate calls from google.com/voice even when i am on an india IP. but to recieve/make calls from gmail i have to be on vpn

I work on client network in office and when i use gmail the call phone option comes in left side chat window.
