Was having issues with Steamlink on my Mi box 4k, thought that its an issue with box so thought will upgrade it. Found that the problem is with my desktop not the streaming box, can continue using my Mi box 4k and doesn't really need the extra smoothness of Google TV
Selling this brand new 2 days old Google Chromecast with Google TV. The product is great with ultra smooth UI with Android 12.

Selling it here because Flipkart only has replacement policy so can't return it for refund.

Its not for sale anymore, Decided to keep it and sell the Mi Box 4k.
Hey, can you tell me any few differences that you found between Mi Box and Chromecast. Are there any differences in the interface/settings? And does the Chromecast remote have TV/AVR controls like fite stick's?

Not asking because I want to buy, but because you withdrew the sale, so no worries about taking the discussion in different direction.

Interface wise Chromecast (Google TV) is much better than Mi box (Android TV), Its much smoother. Recommendations is shit, It keeps recommending shitty movies that I have already marked as "not likes" or "watched"

One best thing I found on chrome cast is that there is a "connect" option for bluetooth headset. which is not on Android TV, so everytime in Android TV I had to repair the headset if I want to use it, In Chromecast most of the time it connects automatically or else you just need to click connect and it connects fine.

Interface of Google TV is much faster than Android TV. Apps open fast and remain on memory for longer.

Hardware wise Mi Box 4k is much better as you get a USB port directly on the Mi Box along with audio out port that you can connect to your speakers. In Chromecast you need use some kind of USB-c dongle if you want to connect any USB flash drive or receiver for controllers etc.

Chromecast remote has a "source" buttton but it doesn't do anything on my TV, probably because I have a 5-6 year old Vu TV which is not even in Chromecast's compatibility list when you try to configure the TV control on chromecast. Luckily it works fine to Power ON/OFF and volume control for the TV. "Source" buttton may work on other TVs but I am not sure.

Try Hisense. Vu TVs are rebranded Hisense.

Yes, I used Hisense, thats how I got the power and volume to work, The source still doesn't work, but It doesn't matter to me as I only use one source on my TV.

Thanks for the detailed response.

Is it possible that power and volume are working through CEC, and not through remote compatibility? That is the case for my fire stick.

No, its not working through CEC. I have tested that by disconnecting chromecast from TV, Power and volume still works. The chromecast remote has IR transmitter, its using that for TV control. On Mi Box 4k it used to work through CEC though.
