Google has unveiled full specifications of it's Glass project. Packing some pretty amazing technology in the form of wearable computing aka your spectacles has been Google's latest (and greatest) project of recent times. While still not ready for mass public sale, Google has shared some pretty solid details on their Glass project.
Google Glass

Google Glass aims to bring much of your smartphone functions into a wearable unit, specs in this case. Google Glass was unveiled last year by Google and since then, the Google Glass Explorer units have been made ready to be shipped out to the lucky few who ordered it (albeit at a very steep price). Also in tow is the developer preview of the Mirror API and their Android companion app My Glass.

So you were wondering what technical specs this device carried. Well, Google tried to clear that up this evening.
Google Glass Features

Fit
  • Adjustable nosepads and durable frame fits any face.
  • Extra nosepads in two sizes.

Display

High resolution display is the equivalent of a 25 inch high definition screen from eight feet away.

Camera
  • Photos - 5 MP
  • Videos - 720p

Audio
  • Bone Conduction Transducer

Connectivity
  • Wifi - 802.11b/g
  • Bluetooth

Storage
  • 12 GB of usable memory, synced with Google cloud storage. 16 GB Flash total.

Battery

One full day of typical use. Some features, like Hangouts and video recording, are more battery intensive.

Charger
  • Included Micro USB cable and charger.

While there are thousands of Micro USB chargers out there, Glass is designed and tested with the included charger in mind. Use it and preserve long and prosperous Glass use.

Compatibility
  • Any Bluetooth-capable phone.
  • The MyGlass companion app requires Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or higher. MyGlass enables GPS and SMS messaging.

Source

The technical aspects are certainly impressive. We particularly like the full day battery life, and 12 GB of storage is simply fantastic. A 5 MP camera is more than we could ask for, with 720p video recording as well.

Upon digging, we found out that the display resolution is nHD (640 x 360). Looks low, but from such a close distance it actually is a pretty high resolution. Wi-Fi connectivity is included as well. Glass is compatible with a Bluetooth enabled phone, whereas for using the My Glass application, you need to be running Android 4.0.3 ICS or above.
