News Google Hangouts App With Group Video calls & Chat, Now Available for iOS, Android and Web

Google announced its new Hangouts app in its keynote yesterday, the app is now available for downloads. The Hangouts app replaces the Google Talk app for Android and is also available for iPhone and iPad.

The Hangouts app lets you do group conversations, video calls with upto 10 friends, message contacts even when they are offline and get instant notifications across all devices. The Hangouts app saves your past conversations as well.

The Hangouts app is available for Android on the Play Store, for iOS devices on the App Store and for your computer as Chrome extension here.

Was just skeptical about the tweaks being compatible with iOS 6. Since i missed the train, i will now have to wait for iOS 7 to get jailbreaked.

1) No delivery report
2) Lags a bit
3) Attachment needs lot of work
4) Can't see the online status of another person

WhatsApp never lags.
Neither does google plus app.

Hanngout seems like a beta to me!

Other things I can work with, but the biggest downfall of this app for me is the lack of online/offline status.
I feel I shouldn't have been hasty and updated it the moment my phone showed it to me and rather read some feedback online and then decided.

updated it and uninstalled the update for the same reason..

Theres no point in being always online or not knowing who else is online...

what if my boss sees me being always online and i don't see him to go invisible or busy or signout this sux.. and I wouldn't update untill offline/online feature is back!

Don't update guys. Kinda regretting losing gtalk for this G+ spoon-fed thrash.

Its not that bad, its just that its not fully complete yet. Wait a bit for all its issues to be sorted out and then consider it.

Kinda liking it. Now I dont get multiple notifications on my phone/tab when I am chatting on some other device.
Also all my pictures shared over the conversation are on google photos.
online/offline is missing but it does not make any sense for me as I am always invisible earlier.
Hope, it would be updated and enhanced like Maps

Go to Settings and selet the account you want to log off from and tap on "Sign Out" option at the bottom. That's it..you are done

It surely does...offline contacts are little dim. They need to show availability in more subtle way though.

Personally I didn't like it...Talk is much better than this.

Yeah but after a restart or next time you log in it again signs into all accounts
