Interesting article but the point eludes me. If someone really wanted to cover his tracks there are various sites that you could use for proxy.

K-Soft apparently believes that users are going to grab their wallets to cover only Google tracks. Cookies have been around for ages now. Their sole purpose is to understand the browsing nature of visitors to their owned sites. Without the advent of cookies I doubt that the net could have progressed the way it has. Something to think about.....The optimization of Googles on search algorithm was partially helped through the usage of cookies which tracked user behaviour.
