Google launches a cool Indic (Hindi) translation tool

Google has launched a cool Indic transliteration tool. Here the URL:



Google Indic Transliteration



Just type in English, press the “space” key and your text will be converted to Hindi.



This tool has been designed by Google India.



If you cant' read the text in hindi, download the hindi font from here:



http://www.ildc.gov.in/hindi/fontinstall_files/raghu8.ttf



copy the font file to your “windows/fonts” directory. This tool is just awesome and very easy to use.

well its Good... but the best english to hindi translator I've ever seen is the translator engine installed in the Rediff messenger... its really does the job... and very very less chances of mistake are there like in QF's achha was wid a full ch( with halant Tho :P) but there nothing's like that... i guess some predictive dictionary is used there... is there any way out to make use of it without having the crap Rediff messenger installed ?

Well i used it for the whole day and it's indeed very good.

Some tips:

If you feel that a word you have typed is not translated properly, left click on it and you'll get a menu with some options for the word. In addition, it'll open a new text edit box for you if you press the "Edit" button given on the menu. Move the cursor on the different alphabets of the bird and you'll get plenty of options for the word including matras etc...

If you are still unsatisfied, press the keyboard icon displayed on the dialog box and you'll get a full hindi keyboard having all the options.

It's really cool :)

काश गूगल ने ये टूल १० साल पहले निकला होता, वुड हवे रोकड माय हिंदी एक्साम्स!!!
