Google Nexus 7 And Galaxy Nexus Now Getting Android 4.2 Jelly Bean Updates

Google has started rolling out the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update for its Nexus 7 tablet and Galaxy Nexus smartphone, according to post on Google+ page for Nexus.



Currently the update is available for unlocked HSPA+ Nexus devices sold through Google Play store. Other Nexus phones will also get the update soon.

Nexus 7 owners should start getting notification about the update any day from now. Users can manually get the update prompt by following this procedure.


  • Turn on Wi-Fi, then go to Settings -> Apps -> All
  • Find Google Services Framework
  • Tap Force Stop
  • Select Clear Data
  • Go back to settings - > about and check for update



So whats new in the new Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update ?

The update brings several improvements and some new features like new keyboard which allows swipe input based on guestures, new camera feature called Photo Sphere which allows 360° panorama, new feature called Miracast which lets you stream audio and video to your TV & more .
