Google Play celebrates 25 billion downloads with $0.25 discounted apps for 5 days
For for next 5 days (including today), there are some really good discounts to be grabbed on the Android Play store. After reaching 20 billion app downloads just a few months ago, the Google Play store (previously Android Market) has now surpassed 25 billion app downloads, and Google is celebrating now by discounting some major apps (and games) to 25 cents for 5 days. This is very similar to the time when they celebrated 10 billion time downloads with 10 cent discounted apps.
The Apps being offered are from the world's best app developers on Android such as EA, Gameloft, Rovio, Fill Fat etc. There will also be special offers based on which country you live in such as 25 banned books, 25 movies you must own etc.
The Google Play store right now boasts around 6,75,000 apps which is about 25,000 less than the Apple app store which has around 7,00,000 apps and games.
