In a statement, Google said, "Amazon doesn't carry Google products like Chromecast and Google Home, doesn't make (its) Prime Video available for Google Cast users, and last month stopped selling some of (our sister company) Nest's latest products.

"Given this lack of reciprocity, we are no longer supporting YouTube on Echo Show and Fire TV," Google said. "We hope we can reach an agreement to resolve these issues soon."

The youtube app on Firestick is just a wrapper aroudn their leanback web interface. Should be hard to duplicate via a different device ID or if google doesnt track id then just by installing the app manually. All they'll do is remove it from the amazon appstore.

Here's your Youtube app back - https://www.youtube.com/tv

I had returned the Fire TV Stick because I was highly unimpressed with its multitasking struggles and especially the YouTube experience. Running the TV interface over Chrome on a Lollipop device with 1 GB RAM is sheer torture.
