This is the latest Stable version of the open source browser, also available for Windows and Mac OS X, but also for those running Linux. Chrome Frame was also updated to 10.0.648.127 Stable.

Users running Chrome 9.0 need to upgrade to version 10.0 as soon as possible, mainly because the latest Stable release introduces patches for a number of security vulnerabilities.

At the same time, Chrome 10.0.648.127 is designed to also deliver new features and improvements on top of the security updates built into the browser version.

Google has kicked up a notch Chrome’s JavaScript performance with a new version of V8 Crankshaft, overhauled the settings pages which is now offered in a new tab, and not in a dialog box, and enhanced user protection with work related to malware reporting, disabling outdated plugins by default and sandboxing Adobe Flash on Windows.

Chrome 10.0 also makes it easier for users to synchronize their passwords, as Build 10.0.648.127 comes with Password sync enabled by default. Performance improvements will also be noticed by users watching video content online, ,with Chrome 10.0 featuring GPU Accelerated Video.

Is there any link/webpage which lists chrome equivalents/replacements of firefox addons , i am thinking of shifting to chrome from firefox.

surprisingly, after installing the update, it was still stuck to 9.0.xxx version... only when i opened the browser and let it auto-update and installation was it installed to the latest stable version.

it is faster than 9.0... i've used chrome 9.0 in the past and currently i am using chrome 10.0 and i can feel the difference in performance...

@Arjun

If u r talking about firefox's famous addons like adblock+ etc etc then chrome also have a addon called adblock (its adblock not adblock+ :P)... This is the only addon that i've installed in firefox aswell as in Chrome... Coz i m not interested in other addons :P
