Google I/O has begun and first surprise announcement from Google is that they will be selling new version of Galaxy S4 which will provide 'Nexus user experience'.



The Galaxy S4 from Google will run stock android version and will come with Bootloader unlocked, it will also get prompt system updates from Google. It will be unlocked and come with LTE support for AT&T and T-Mobile.

The 16GB Galaxy S4 will sell for $649 on the Play Store starting from June 26th.

Yes, it is the S4; good news for developers with the unlocked bootloader (if they can afford it that is)

Exactly my thought. If they only did it with the S3, it would prolly blow their own LG Nexus 4 out of the water.

Key would be to position the Google S3 at 30k if they ever went with stock and then it would be perfect with the Nexus 4 at 25k / Normal S3 at 27k / Google S3 at 30 or 32k / S4 at 37k
 
I do not use touch wiz features anyway . Would like stock ROM . But can not root because of warranty . Already used warranty once when my board was replaced .

How is S3 overall better than N4??!!N4 has better processor,better GPU,double ram,better looks.S3 has better cam n battery.Would prefer N4 any day.
 
It will be interesting to see how much free space the google S4 has. This way we will know how many GeeBees the samsung gimmicks and TW are occupying.

N4 has thermal throttling , washed up screen and limited storage.
S3 has better screen , better storage option, better DAC, will not break easily (thanks to plastic :P ).

N4 does have double RAM and the stock OS is much better than TouchWiz that S3 comes up with.

LOFL. You seem to have a personal vendetta against TW and Samsung.

IMHO this move by Google has been made for developers to develop apps for the FullHD screen which are becoming the norm in higher-end mobiles.

Nope. I don't even know what exactly TW looks like. Never used samsung phones. But i read a lot on this and other forums that people hate TW so mentioned.

Just install a custom rom and kernel.Thermal throttling can be removed.Washed up screen is only due to bad calibration.After proper calibration,there is a night and day difference.Limited storage i agree.DAC too.Looks and durability are a tradeoff.

Custom ROM fixes throttling and screen calibration.

And CPU I said better.
