Graphic Cards Got 8k Need GPU that can handle 1080p

Well, hi all, tomorrow i am gong to NP, need to but a GPU that can handle most games at 1920*1080 2xAA 8xAF with 30+ FPS.

BTW, by most games I mean most RPG's (DA, ME, FO etc.) and RTS . (Not talking about Crysis and other sys killers.)

Got a PhII Quad and a Corsair 450W alongside.

I think a GTX 460SE 1GB should be the cheapest card that'll do it, but is it available ? Also what are the prices for HD 6850 and GTX 460 ?

TIA

Actually, review at Hardware Canucks shows that GTX460 SE with 1GB Memory trumps the GTX460 768MB, and to gain additional performance, OC works very well and power consumption is by default lower as more shader clusters are locked.

I'd say for the right price, it's a jolly good card and deal!

Yes 460 SE is little faster than 768MB version of GTX 460 but its not avail afaik, so HD5770 is the best choice in AMD side or if u want NV then MSI GTS 450 Cyclone @ 7.8k is the best card @ 8k price range.

HD5770 is slightly better performer than GTS450 or add 3k and buy 460 768MB else wait for GTS 455/550:D

gtx 460SE is not faster than 768 model. Specially when 768 model is oced it leaps quite a bit.

5770 @ 8k is awesome. Go for it.

i think go for a nvidia gts450 1gb sc version or 1gb ati hd5770 should suffice ur requirments both are priced around 8k varies from company to company.

No I already considered 5770 but I think the 128 bit bus is going to be a huge bottleneck at 1080p, I'd rather get the 4870 (who needs DX11)

Too bad no 460SE here .

Are there any cheaper cards like the 4870 available ?
