Got a call from LIC Delhi asking for details....

An hour back I got a call from 011 43114400
ANAMIKA 9898048813 --No is from Gujarat.
The lady said she is calling from LIC India.

She explained that this call was regarding some Profit which I earned on my policy.
If I dont claim the profit it will be by default shared with my LIC agent and LIC branch in 40:60 ratio and then there wont be any reversal or refund.

So to avail full claim of my policies profit, she asked me for my Policy no., my DOB, Pan card, Adhar card, Nominee name, Nominee DOB and my registered address.

Once done I'll receive a cheque at my registered address within 8 working days or I can opt for NEFT transfer as well.

Now the scene is that I got no idea about my policy details as it is all handled by my father and our close family friend uncle who is LIC agent since past 20+ years.

I immediately asked all details to my dad and now have all the details ready.
To cross verify if its a fake/spam/dupe call just like ICICI, I'm trying to contact LIC helplines nos. but call isnt connecting, nos. are out of service or I'm always in the queue.

So finally asking here.

If any LIC agent here or any LIC people who fill/renew policies themselves can shed some light on this I'll be helped from getting duped etc.

Lic always sends registered mail for matters like this . It's fake .
Why will they ask you for your details if they have them already ?
Think about it .
 
Yup thanks all of you guys. Its indeed a fake call. Just received a call back from Lic itself.
Best part is even if we spill out all or any details to those dupers they can't do anything with it unless we give our bank details.
 
I am working With LIC as officer in Finance & Accounts Deptt Begusarai.
Its 100% fake call
any amount payble to you taken as liability
and it will be made available to through Cheque (Via registered post )/NEFT.
If details not available/updated it will remain with LIC as liability.
whenever you claim it will be paid to you
Nobody can share/grab the amount partain to policyholder

@mahesh_bharti can you please share any LIC email id to send general feedback/complaints? I posted my feedback on LIC website but got no response. If I log into my account, I get few very options against which I can log a complaint. And those options are useless. I was planning to post few videos online to tarnish LIC's image but wanted to share my feedback with higher ups first.

Its called rationalizing. Dont do it. These details that you think are not important are infact very important. Dont be under the impression that your bank details are the only important things. These are organized rackets and every little detail they get, they will use.

definately a fake call... received this kind of call few days back.. those morons didn't even know the policy no., which is in question..
