Graphic Cards Got an AGP mobo? or a PCIe mobo? One card fits all

MSI have a few interesting video cards on show today, one being a card that they label as 'Suitable for all systems'.

The card has both AGP and PCI-Express slots - something that we have talked about in the past. We felt that it was only a matter of time before someone came up with a video card that supported all systems, and MSI have finally delivered something that will appeal to consumers who are worried about being able to afford an upgrade to PCI-Express all in one go.

This video card allows you to buy a PCI-Express motherboard later on, as it will work in any motherboard with an AGP 8x slot, while also being able to be used in a PCI-Express based motherboard.

I think it is true.. it was shown at Computex in Taiwan....... This same info was posted in another link. I think Bottle posted it. Am not too sure abt that......
 
Hmm...this is good ...but havent the bridges come out too....
BTW the x800xl has a power connector......guessin thts for agp ...
 
quiet a lot innovative...and tht much better...but i wonder how the performance will vary from a PCI express mobo to an AGP mobo...?
 
What is gonna be needed is a cheap sub-1k($20) agp to pci-e adaptor so that agp users can use the latest pci-e card on existing systems.

Exactly. Dunno anything about numbers and statistics but this is one thing I'm praying for.
