Its been quite some time since I am on all AMD rig. In fact I've never been to the Intel-Nvidia territory.
I would like to admit that I just need a mid end system that eats as less possible but should be able to play all games at 1080p. I don't game much but whenever I do (once in a month or so), I like to have all the eye candy turned on.
The plan is to phase out the current Phenom II 925 + ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO motherboard + OCZ Titianium 1333MHz CL7 RAM. I was able to push this combo to 4GHz (stock 2.8GHz) and 1600 MHz at CL8. The system is no slouch but just wondering (and thats the purpose of this thread):
1) What all can I get if i sell this combo ?
2) What best I can get under 30K for Intel based rig (CPU + MOBO + GPU)
3) Is the whole swapping thing worth the money spent (odd 30K) ?
BTW I've 580GTX as my card and looking at some i5(2500K ??) plus some mobo (you guys suggest). Also Id be pleased if you could post the individual prices as well.
