:ohyeah:

Bought the asrock from DJ today :D After testing it extensively for the whole day, I am more than satisfied with the board. :hap2:

265x10 was rock solid, with the OCZ at 2.5-4-4-8. Super Pi 1M = 33 secs. 3Dmark05 = 6K, 3Dmark06 = 2K ( is this low? )

Played FEAR for more than an hour. XT seems to have got the hang of the game now :P

DJ's modded heatsink with panaflo fan is simply stunning, and better still, its dual-purpose!!! Cooler cum Massager

^ Nice! :D

Thats a damn neat OC on the 3200+ . What vcore?

BTW, in the market thread Deejay mentioned RAM was running at 2T.. why so?

@ Crazy_Eddy,
This m/b can run 1T till only about 255mhz memory speed. perhaps it may be due to the older ocwbeta2 bios that i had used. but with this bios the m/c can boot at any speed depending upon the capability of the cpu and ram. however the official bios released from 1.30 versions onwards prevent the m/c from booting at greater than 274 mhz HTT.
Hence i had to decide between running at 1T/ 2T and the ability to post or boot at greater than 274 mhz speeds.
and i chose the latter option for obvious reasons :). also i am not 100% sure whether the m/b can use 1T @ > than 255 mhz even with the newer bios. will have to check if i get a chance.

once zhops gets comfortable with the m/b then he may change the bios to any new released by the co and try 1T @ 265 mhz ...since he is satisfied running the m/b @ 265mhz , 1:1 for now .....

Nice OC there :hap2: Is it the artic freezer 4? what are your temps with it. Also what speeds is the xt running at?

I think Zhops was referring to XT, as in Xterminator and not Deejays X1900XT!!:cool2:

And Earl- Congrats Buddy!! That mobo ensures service backup by Deejay- amazing for anyones Mobo Mojo!!:ohyeah:

hey man, Congrats! try to lower timings... if not thru bios, try Clockgen, as 275 @ 2.5-3-3-8 is all go after fiddling around with A64Tweaker :)

@ Harshal,
Dada, the memory is not an issue.i am sure it can go upto 285 ~290mhz .... but the problem is the cpu is not stable at higher than say 270 mhz due to low vcore of 1.55V, which is the max on this m/b after the vcore vmod.

why dont you try lowering CPU multi to 8x or so?? and keep the meory at a much higher speed??

280 x 8 = 2240

I know the CPU speed would be too low, but I cant think of anything else...

Or run the CPU in sync with the RAM but try running the RAM at tight latencies...

@ nikhil,
the current settings are 265 mhz for both the cpu as well as the rams .., 1:1 , in sync. these are running at 2.5-4-8-4 settings ....perhaps with time and patience zhops would be able to lower these a bit like for e.g. 2.5-4-7-3.

@ Deejay sirji, Got that. But Since I have had it @ tighter timings I thought of suggesting him to try that. Higher or not??well it is a different issue for sure.

Thanks guys :D Just enjoying with my rig right now. I'd even forgotten what all I had on my hdd :bleh:
I'm running at 250 now, with the ram at 2.5-4-4-8 1T, with normal vDimm. ( normal and high are the only options on this board ). I'll just keep it this way for a couple of weeks :ohyeah:
