I have two systems:
1. Intel: Asus P4P800 Dlx & P4 2.4C
2. AMD: Asus A8V Deluxe & Winchester 3200+

Recently I got these new RAMs.

Now I want to know from the experts of TE which pair I should put in which mobo so that I can best utilize these RAMs.

TIA.

They look identical. Doesnt matter which you put where.

Use it as you wish. I personally would put the OCZ in the AMD system

a8v sucks for overclocking memory at 1T .. unless the newer bios' have cured that

Wellm baatli, I use the 1009 BIOS and it seems quite fine. No major problems as such. All my mem oc'ing is at 1T.

Ok now if i have read it correctly from the pic,the Corsair is

Corsair XMS 3200C2 Rev 5.1 ---> Based on Mosel Vitelic chips.
Very ordinary Ram,nothing special to say about that.

now the OCZ,

OCZ EL DDR PC3200 Platinum Edition Rev2 -----> This can be Samsung TCCD or Samsung TCC5 based Chips. These are real good.OC very well and mostly if its purchased recently, it would be TCC5.
I would highly Suggest using the OCZ in AMD64 Machine and Overclock 1:1

I hope this helps you...

Your OCZ EL Plats do not have the "v1.1" next to the Rev 2 written on the heatspreader sticker. So in all probability it should be Samsung TCCD chips! :D

I'm sure you know the characteristics of TCCD, these things do insanely high speeds with ease (the good ones hit 600Mhz DDR), provided the board is capable of the high FSB's and your Memory controller (i.e. the A64's on-die mem controller) is capable of it too. As mentioned above, these arent voltage hungry - in fact feeding them too much voltage will simply cause them to heat up and become unstable.

Corsair XMS 3202 v5.2 = Promos -5 Rev A. I've heard that you should be lucky to even get a 10~20Mhz overclock with these chips !

^^ yep.. no 'v1.1' so in all probability its TCCD.. lucky him.. :D

^^If its TCC5, upto 2.9V is fine. If its TCCD, don't go beyond 2.8V.
mah OCZ TCC5 are warranted upto 3.0V. also, at XS some ppl found sweet spot for TCC5 at 3.1V. Personally though, i havent went over 3.0V

Thanks everybody for the help.

Bought these from Newegg recently. Most people told me that recent OCZ Rev2s are all TCCD. BTW, anyway of confirming it without removing the heatspreaders?

Put the Corsairs in my P4P800Dlx and reached 220 FSB without problems. Then chickened out as I suddenly remembered about SATA corruption issues. Will remove the SATA and try higher a few days later.

Damn Prescott, need to reinstall my XP-90 HSF to really stress out my OCZ, doubt I'll accomplish that though, since I mt not be able to OC it much wt my kinda cpu.

I have no idea of any recent changes, but atleast a while back OCZ was restricting its TCCD chips to the higher-end EL Platinum DDR600 Elite Edition modules. Thats why the Rev2 v1.1 was introduced - they had lower-graded TCC5 chips instead. If you do not have the v1.1 (which you dont) , you should have TCCD chips.

Nice results. Seems like the ProMos has a little more in it than expected :)
