:: Grievance Redress Mechanism in Government ::

The Department of Administrative Reforms And Public Grievances is the nodal agency to formulate policy guidelines for citizen-centric governance in the country. Redress of citizens' grievances , being one of the most important initiatives of the department, DAR&PG formulates public grievance redress mechanisms for effective and timely redress / settlement of citizens' grievances.

The DAR&PG has been making endeavors to bring excellence in public service delivery and to redress grievances of citizens in a meaningful manner by effectively coordinating with different Ministries and Departments of the Government and trying to eliminate the causes of grievances.

This is a Government of India Portal aimed at providing the citizens with a platform for redress of their grievances. If you have any grievance against any Government organization in the country, you may lodge your grievance here which will go to the Ministry/Department/State Government concerned for immediate redress.

The grievances arising out of Unsatisfactory response or No response from the Ministry/Department concerned will be taken up by the PG officers of DAR&PG who will take up the matter with the Ministry/Department concerned for close monitoring and expeditious redress.

Many of us say that these things don't work in India.
Couple of months back, the Faridabad Municipal Corporation laid new roads in his area and the residents were very happy about it. But 2 weeks later, BSNL dug up the newly laid roads to install new cables which annoyed all the residents. A resident used the above listed grievance forum to highlight his concern. To his surprise, BSNL and Municipal Corporation of Faridabad were served a show cause notice and the guy received a copy of the notice in one week. Government has asked the MC and BSNL about the goof up as it's clear that both the government departments were not in sync at all..

So use this grievance forum and educate others who don't know about this facility.
This way we can at least raise our concerns instead of just talking about the 'System' in India.

Its not a scam its probably more like a therapist who listens to your problems with the govt but isn't really able to do anything about it :D

^^ LOL now why do u have a problem with that. In India there will be more than 1 million ppl with more than 1 wife :P

@chiron -- Nothing wrong in trying....when we waste so much time posting spam here :P.....for starters I had made a complaint to DoT for minimum broadband speeds and FUP :P
 
HAHA, its not spam and its very genuine one :). I'm the one of the person who benefited from this, ofcourse for BSNL :) And this happend in last year

The way how it works is, first they will forward your complain to respective ministry and u can view your complain status also there. its been updated regularly.

in my case for bsnl, first it went to 1) telecom ministry => 2) BSNL =>3) Respective circle(TN) => 4) Respective SSA(Madurai) 5) Finally it went to SDE, Trichy(since here were all the mobile a/c of TN regoin handled) :) and finally my issue resolved. In each level, latest update were there in grievences site. :)

Of course first i've been directly in touch with trichy SDE, but they were giving some junk answers and said its not possible to fix my issue, since they felt its not a problem at all :P

This portal actually works.

Got fed up with gtpl internet issue and file a complaint online with PG portal.

This guys forwarded complain to GTPL nodal officer and issue got resolved in 2 days plus gtpl extended 20 full days to validity period.
