GOW install Issue

Just bought the Gears of War Dvd.....

Tried Installing the same...but getting an exception.... Just after the install wizard is finished copying the files....I get an exceptions saying

Error Number: 0x80040702
Description: Failed to load DLL: FirewallInstallHelper
Setup will now terminate

Not sure what the problem is.
My config is as below:
AMD 4800+ X2
Asus M2N-MX
2 GB DDR 2 RAM
ASUS X1950 pro
Win XP Pro
AVG Antivirus

I tried installing with AVG turned off also

You need to get FirewallInstallHelper.dll from somewhere and copy it to your Windows/System32 folder and then register it from console by typing

> regsvr32 FirewallInstallHelper.dll

You should be able to find it in one of the installation cabs of the game or if you have Visual Studio you should be able to find it on the installation discs.

Edit: I have attached the file taken from my machine. Just copy it to the system32 folder and run the command as I mentioned and then try reinstalling the game.

But after That whenever I tried to launch the game I got an Runtime error...saying unusual error occurred...
Somehow this problem is also fixed now....after reinstalling the game....

But now when I play the game there is a lot of stuttering in the frames.... I am getting 40 fps...but still...the smoothness in frame's ain't there

1. run the game as administrator by right clicking on game exe

3. get latest drivers (if experiencing stuttering)

what setings u playing at im playing on everything high on 800x600 res.
seem decent and playable to me

Everything high and resolution@1440*900.....Thing is I FRAPS shows a framerate of 35-40fps....but still I see a lot of stuttering...

Considering its the same as UT3 engine (I play at 50 fps).... I think I outta get a better gaming experience

Stuttering is common problem found in that game everywhere in world.

You can google it.

EPIC might be releasing a patch for it very soon.

Ya...I actually read bout it..... But none of my friends complained about this so I assumed...its a common problem but may have a solution

FirewallInstallHelper.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. This file cannot be registered.?

Hey r we talking about Gears of War? If yes then use GeOW. That GOW sounds like God of War.

Anyways, u need to update the game with new patches. U can download them from Gamespot.

BTW, i m trying to play the game with my pal on Hamachi but i don't see any good in that. Tried everything but no LAN/Local. The older Hamachi Fixes aren't working. Can someone fix this problem for Patch 1.2?
