guys,

anyone using Airtel GPRS in bangalore? i am getting one activated today. 199rs plan for 1 GB free download. i saw in the threads here that they have a Rs98/2GB plan..but the customer support mentioned no such plans available.

which plans you guys using? unfortunately, i can't change from airtel. have a good voice plan and quality is decent enough.

98 rupee 2GB plan is there, valid for 1 month

Got it 20days ago.

Also there is 45 rupee recharge. You get:

- 30 rupee talktime

- 100 MB data, valid for 10 days
 
Just for info,
Tata docomo is going to launch on nov 5 in 3g. Not sure about the circle though.
Rumours say it is going to 3g U/L (might be fup) for 1k.
Else in 2g it is 6gb for 98 or 95 bucks.
 
using 98rs for 2gb/month on airtel postpaid. Airtel has the best edge network in bangalore and in roaming as far as I have seen

I find Aircel to be better. I have removed tata indicom wimax connection and I need some kinda internet. Tested BSNL 3G but 1.5K for unlimited is bit hurting for me ATM. As per the shop guy advice I took aircel unlimited gprs for Rs99. Its really surprised me opening multiple tabs in my laptop is no problem where as airtel struggled to open multiple site like TE, gsmarena, dpreview.
 
thanks for all the replies.. called Airtel again and got the 2GB@98 activated..but i find the speed to be too slow.. so made another call and here's what I found - the 2GB@98 is expected to give speeds in the range of 10-20kbps..the 1GB@199 is at speed 43kbps..i am mainly planning to use this for mobile..find the 98rs plan slower than my expectations..how's ur experience with 98rs plan and 199rs plan (if anyone is using that)...
 
I got 4GB for Rs 98...it said unlimited on the poster :@ anyways Airtel GPRS is soooo slow I doubt if I can finish 4GB in a month
 
Im on the Airtel prepaid 98/mo plan. Speeds are ok for mobile browsing and nothing more. Speedtest app shows 60-90kbps download rate.
 
thats good rate.

for me my docomo sim givin 12Kbps(kilobits)...

am staying at BTM layout...wTF????

at my office its giving around 100Kbps
 
Anybody using Aircel GPRS please mention speedtest results ... I am going to get new prepaid connection on monday and want to use gprs on that

anybody using bsnl 3g in whitefield area?? how is speed??
