If you look closely, the brick does not touch the RAM chips at all. It is just slightly above it. So removing it may not make much of a difference to the memory. So this is all the more reason to add some good RAM sinks to the card.
thats what i'm trying to figure out..how to fix this fan on top of the sink with minimal intrusion so that i can remove it without a scratch shud a warranty issue occur in future..thanks for the link..will go thru it.
^^Dont worry..i have sorted out my cards problem without voiding my warranty..now the temps are 44C at room temps..earlier it was 55C...i'll show u how to do it without any hassle..give me a day, i'll post the pics of my minimal intrusive fan mod..n boy..its effective..hehe..
