All games except Quake 4 hve been analysed at 1024*768
Quake 4:1280 or something

Check the order of the games from the website.

This observation is dedeicated only to this article.
Bottom Line
If 6600gt is 100
then approx values(not necessarily rounded and maybe only approx)
6800-102.68
x800gt-103.85
1600xt-107.87
x800gto-119.59

Overalll scores,X800gt,6800 nd 6600gt perform similiar with 1600xt taking a small lead
x800gto is substanially better.

6600gt and 6800 should perform almost qual at these settings in all above games though in some games one can get significantly faster than others(both 6600gt and 6800 at times)

Choice of Ati or Nvidia is restricted by the games you want to play.
These might be it:
Nvidia:
AOE 3
Quake 4
Maybe better grpaihcs in FEAR

ATI
BF2
higher performance in FEAR
Check others from the site

other x800gto may be much faster than ati x800gto.

1600xt is crap for some game,rock solid for others
crap-aoe3,ss2 (maybe)
 
errr .. comeon dont get me parinoid i'mma buyin a 6800 ultra from someone ;) and i hope i would be able to play games like far cry and stuffs at 1024 * 768 lol anyways i know i can juss paranoid ;) hhe not my fault blame my brain. :P
 
FEAR uses PS2.0 only and looks the same on both hardware. I can confirm that as I've run it side by side.
 
6800ulra maybe abt equal to 2 6800
but 6800gs,7800gs,7800gt be better value for money
for what cost are u getting 6800u?

Observations :

1. The 6800GS almost equalling the X1800XT
2. The 6800 pwning the X1600XT
3. ATi needs a Serious Sam 2 patch ! Badly !

ATi gotta be out of their minds !
 
^^ thats a serious sam 2 and cat bug iirc. should be ironed out soon. Similarly or aoe 3 as well. Else the x1800 series is leaving the the 7800gtx behind by a huge margin. Cats 6.1 should be out soon as well, so lets wait and watch the performance increases if any. :ohyeah:
