You can go for HD 5850 safely.

I have the same PSu and its handling my config on siggy w/o any problem. It has proved to be stable on OCCT tests too.

Moreover 5850 consumes much less power than a 4870, so no probs regarding the PSU.

Evenif its names Zebby 550 pro, its an HEC OEM PSU, and zebby just makes the stickers. HEC is a reputable psu brand like FSP.

Corsair VX550W @ 5.1k

Sapphire HD5850 1GB GDDR5 @ 15.9k

Total = 21k

I know it overshoots your budget, but take 17k from ur money, and 4k from selling of ur Zebby PSU and 9800GT...

as vinay said.....i'd recommend u wait for fermi to release

if u dont want to wait....sell off the 9800gt and zebronics psu, get 4-5k extra, and get 5850...nothing better than that, cos if u overclock it to 850,1000 it outperforms 5870

if u can afford a better PSU without selling 9800gt, u can keep that card for physx, ....but u'll have to use old drivers though

its not likely u'll do it, so go for 5850

you better wait a month. With the release of Fermi just around the corner, a price cut from AMD is imminent.

If u want for a month, FERMI will release, BUT WHY THE HECK will AMD cut the price of HD5850????? It's 299$, and the cheapest FERMI is 499$ I guess..
