Graphic Cards Graphic card bundle problem

hello people out here
i'm new here
i got a new xfx 6600gt gfx card & with it i got eveything that was bundled but except something that was messed with the CABLES.

coz i should have got [refer pictures]
S-Video Cable,
SV to HDTV Cable,
DVI to VGA adaptor

but i just got the S-Video Cable that too 4-pin & not 9-pin.

when i inquired in the shop, they said i'll get the 9 pin s-video cable replaced....but not the other cable accessories bcoz the cables r only available in european regions.

so people, how far is this true???????

it is XFX 6600GT

also i saw the card on BAZEE...there everything is properly bundled
 
I was gonna edit my post but u replied b4 i cud. Anyways, some card makers have different model numbers with different bundled goodies. The basic card are cheap and wont come with the additional goodies. Some models (same 6600GT, may be its called a TD or something) come with some cables and games bundled and naturally they cost a little more. Also OEM cards dont normally bundle any cables/games with the card.

I saw a LeadTek Winfast 6600GT today and it had all the cables and the DVI-to-D-Sub adapter as well. It even came bundled with POP: Warrior Within and Splintercel game DVDs!

Also did u chcek the box for ""Contents in the Box" or something like that?
 
well then, looks like there are no bundled goodies with ur card. The TV-Out cable shud be the one u mentioned with 4-pins. If it doesnt go into the TV-Out socket on the card, get it replaced for a suitable card. and the DVI cable wud probably refer to the adapter, but its a weird way to call it a cable!

Is that the exact terminology used to describe the accessories?
 
Unless u r a uber rich geek with a HDTV or DVI i/p TV, you really don't need anything more thann a S-Video out cable...the Card end of the cable should look like a large PS2 pin, while the other end will go into the TV would be a std RCA Video jack
 
well yeah.
I had argument with one of the guy. i sold xfx 6600GT AGP OEM imported from USA to him.
It did not came with ant extra cables and games.
Also you have to remember bundle in india is different than other areas.
The game bundle in India is still crappy old games like commandos, motogp, X2 etc.
While in europe they even bundled doom3.
Same goes with the cables. In europe they bundle the junction box which is not bundled in India.( only gigabyte bundles exact same accessory that it offers worldwide)

yes u r right

Right today i went ot PRIME ABGB & had a talk with that sardar reg. these cables. He too said that it was regional parity. :no: Then when i insisted, he opened another xfx 6600gt box pack, there everything was bundled perfectly. He agreed that it was some packing mistake. :D

Then he arranged for me a dvi to vga conenctor & the 9pin to tv [s-video] cable. thank god he didnt carged me extra. :D

i was very happy here then.

no matter for the gamez coz we can get them later...but atleast no one shall play with the FREE ESSENTIAL hardware stuff atleast
