dont even think about the 8600gts...Ati 3850@10k definitely worth it...or if u could get a 8800gt(256mb) for around 10k from katmandude definitely go for that...the 8800gt 256mb retails for around 210$ on some sites....so considering his commission also u might get it for around 10k+

well if the 9600gt releases in feb(as expected), It will take some time for it to be available locally...so u will have to wait a little longer than just till the release....but it may well be worth it since the new releases should bring prices down for other cards too.

yeah.. 3850 is the current star in the segement.. but not for long.. coz the 8800GS & 9600GT are just around the corner.. i think they can get over the 3850 pretty easily.. though the 9600GT is a lower mid range card, it sure would give a tough competition to the 3850.. also the 8800GS is launched just to counter the threat of 3850..
