Graphic Cards Graphics Card And Cpu Upgrade

My Budget is 15-16K At most.And Current Config goes like this
  1. ASUS P8-H61-M Lx
  2. 4 GB DDR3 Ram
  3. HD5750 1 GB DDR5
  4. Intel G620
  5. 1 TB HDD
  6. Windows 7 64 Bit
  7. 450Watt PSU
Want to Clear up few things first,1st it upgrade is mainly for gaming purpose.2nd I use a Monitor with res 1024x768.I am stuck with this monitor for next year or so without any other option.I just want to upgrade so i can at least play latest games at full glory in my native Resolution.Any suggestions?

Sapphire HD7770 1GB -8000,
Dell 22" S2240L LED IPS -8500.
TOTAL -16500.
 
Thanks :).If i chose to stay with this monitor,Will it be wise to go for a i3/any new proccy rather or It will be a total waste ?
