Guys, pls let me know the best graphics card for the Myst series games, both on cost and performance wise..

Also, pls let me know how to choose a graphics card while buying it for the first time. FYI, I am zero about the graphics card.

buy a 8600gt or 8400gs the former is more powerful but the latter one is a littel weak but if u want a budget one go for 8400gs

Myst doesn't need anything special. Its basically just photographs.

to begin learning about GPUS' try Video card - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

and try a bit of googling. I am sure u'll learn fast. U'll not need a really high end card, as mentioned already . So after a bit of research (and i'd recommend u do it), you can get whichever card suits your requirements (depending on the kind of games u intend to play, apart from this one) and off course, your budget.

Myst should run on the onboard gfx of the latest mobos, else get a 8600 GT or 2600XT which provide good bang for the buck.

Avoid all 8400, 8500, 2400 series like plague.
