I'm looking to buy a gaming laptop for around Rs. 80,000 (strict budget).
I've narrowed my choices down to-
1) HP Envy 15-k006tx (GTX 850M, RAM expandable up to 16GB)
2) Lenovo Y50-70 (GTX 860M, 8GB RAM)
3) Asus G551JK-DM053H (GTX 850M, RAM expandable up to 16GB)
I'm inclined towards the Y50 because of the better graphics card, but will 8GB RAM be enough? I need to be able to run the latest games for the next 4 years or so, although I don't mind keeping the settings or screen resolution low. (Also, I won't be running anything else while gaming.)
Opinions?

Go with the y50 because in most cases for gaming, a better gpu is always preferable over more ram.
The 850m will become a bottleneck long before your ram does.

I have y50, and it's a great experience. It runs games really well. I have even upraded my ram to 16gb.

Some downsides on buying y50

- ok screen
- keyboard though slick, you won't feel good. Atleast I haven't got some reason.
- mousepad ofc is shitty so i bought a gaming mouse and a xbox one controller for gaming.

that's abt it, it's a good laptop overall.
