I got a mailer from Dell advertising their 9400 desktop replacement laptop. Configuration is Core2Duo 5300, 19 inch (1440x900), 1 GB, 120 GB hard drive, Vista Premium all for 53K. Sweet
 
sorry to break your heart... but the screen size is 17" and not 19". checkout their specs:

Oops, yes, I did mean to say 17 inch, maybe it was my subconcious expressing my desire for a 19 incher:D
 
Wat are you gonna do with the lappie?

If its normal tasks like internet, word processing and the usual multimedia, the config is fine and it aint gonna make much difference upgrading to a 667 bus especially if you are on a tight budget!

Pretty good deal on the 9400! Lots of deals going on coz of the new Dell Santa refresh coming up with the change in the their inspiron series and the induction of the new Vostro series. :)
