GRID locks up pc

hi guys!
grid is givin me issues
sometimes it jus crashes while runnun and locks up the entire sys...no response frm keyboard at all...have to manually reset

at other times...all of a sudden the frame rates drop to 2 or 4 and stay there!...even in the menu when i press esc

anyone else facin this?

im runnin vista 32bit
and have latest 175.16 whql drivers installed...

Yup... facing the same issues...

These lockups are cozed due to overclocks...

I turned back to stock settings and now everything works fine...

i faced similar hanging problems in Grid in WinXP. It used to hang in menu as well and i had to reset the PC. The WinXP i wa using was quite old and consisted of several softwares.

I installed a fresh WinXP in a separate partition and installed Grid on it. Now it works like a charm.

your problem might be bcoz of driver conflicts...u need to use a driver cleaner software. Otherwise, install WinXP in a separate partition to play Grid.

Try downloading it from Patches and Fixes: Race Driver: GRID v1.1 PC-DVD Patch - Demo Movie Patch Download Section - GamersHell.com

Can't link anything to the *ahem* version as it's not allowed.This would be the official patch.You won't be able to patch your copy if it's the *ahem* version as you'll need the original .exe file for it.Though try the driver issue resolution which other suggested as well.Worth giving them a shot before you can try this.

I have played this game with zero freezing till now.So haven't experienced any bugs so far.
 
the patch works in the ahem version. Just backup ur existing grid.exe and apply the patch and paste the grid.exe again.
 
^Nah.I am talking about his already installed one.It must have already been replaced with the crack so the original .exe is overwritten.Hence the patch will not be able to update the game unless he gets the original .exe back first.
