The only tweak I have tried so far is Dinesh's commandline file and the results:

Avg 15 FPS 12x10 MAX runs like crap with constant stuttering

Avg 25 FPS 12x10 Low runs crap with lesser stutterin

Turned off Clip Capture and set the settings to Med-High.

Now there is no stuttering as such.

Average FPS are 18-20 although people say they should be around 25-30.

Gaming is decent and playable, though not all that nice and smooth.

Luckily i re-installed this just 2 days ago. Downloading that GFX patch, and will try it out in the evening

PS - No problems running it with the original copy, right?

Ya I tried it on my pc..Its all true, never seen a open world game as beautiful as this! Even bf3 doesnt look beast anymore after watching this!

To all those asking...yes I have tried the mod and it works great, I get good Fps too no issues,

but it is best viewed during the rainy nights!! Its really beautiful...The mod is not very taxing either really.

Yes this is the "Other" game I have been playing these days though it was launched so long ago!! It is simply gorgeous with the ice mod and 2 other posted by someone on IVG. (The first game being FM 2011 by SIgames.)

I suggest everyone to try it, its amazing just a 7gb download

Will I be able to run it on a HD 5770? I was able to beat GTA IV on this card but for some reason the performance of EFLC was worse and I wasn't able to get playable framerates at high settings. Asking it because 7 GB is a big download and I don't really want to install GTA IV all over again only to get unplayable framerates. Has anyone with a 5770 tried it?

Btw dont try 7gb first try that 100mb one first.refer youtube videos too.gta iv is a weird game it works different on different systems.

Like always the game is more limited by CPU than GPU so it should be fine with 5770.

I had to reinstall twice to get it all right..but it is worth the effort!.

I used better city textures + many modded cars + Realizm Mod IV + icehancer 1.25(Hi voltage mod)..

Mods like extend the vanilla game in so many directions, and on the other hand we have Battlefield 3, suxx

Wow awesome shots. The cars looks awesome. No aliasing at all!! But looks like a little too much bloom.

Guys i am having a problem with this game no matter whatever settings i put it behaves strangely.

The game starts smooth then when a new area arrives the fps from 35-50 takes a dip to 0-8.Now if i change the settings of the vsync the stutter disappears.But after few mins again the same problem,again if i change the vsync settings it works fine...and it continues.

is there any fix for this.

ok this is not only vsync actually until and unless i change a setting from the menu the performance dosent change.and i have to go on repeating these after few mins.

sorry i am a bit late to the gta iv party but played first few hrs and i must say the game has something to suck you in.Such kind of details are rarely found in any games.

for eg if you dont turn off the radio and get out of your car it dosent stops.instead you can still hear it(muffled).The way niko climb down the stairs,The design Inside the limo and car handling

moreover if you put independence fm the rj there says something like this (not exactly but quite near) "Independence fm where sitting in a dark room you can enjoy the music you have stolen from the internet":lol:

Cant comment anything more as i havent finished it yet.
