GTA IV Problem

Yah. Mine had 3.0 and game could not launch. Then I installed 3.5 version but still not. Finally uninstall and reinstall of game worked. I feel game is full of bugs which need to be fixed soon

i got a 4850 & 8.12s..

No matter what i try: with/without update, with original disc or with crack: it always freezes & i have to hard reset. :@

Problem solved! Here's what all i had to do:

- Move from XP sp3 to Vista sp1
- Install all the stuff: .net 3.5, GFWlive, directx, ati 8.12 etc. (as in the tips/tweaks thread)
- Replaced the original files with the securom bypasser. (@#$@.. why are developers hell bent on screwing the ppl who buy original games!:@ ) ::Epic FAIL on R*'s part::

GTA ran okay with the default Mid+high settings @ 47fps

Now the only problem is saving the game.
 
texture setting is the only thing which makes notable distance to the looks of the game other than that view distance and detai distance doent make much of a diffrence visually :P
