Last night, the countdown timer on the GTA IV website finished, and with it, displayed a trailer for the next generation version of Grand Theft Auto. The Rockstargames server ground to a halt as what must have been thousands scrambled to get a first glimpse of one of computer games most popular franchises.
The one minute long trailer / teaser gave a quick glimpse at what GTA IV’s city will look like. The trailer showed what appeared to be Liberty City, but obviously, in a much more in depth manner that we are accustomed to. The trailer looks to be set in modern times, and follows a Russian as he says “I’ve killed people, smuggled people, sold people. Perhaps here, things will be differentâ€.
The trailer can now be viewed reasonably well on the official website, with official high definition downloads available on the website too.
