GTS 450 is designed to take the place of GTS 250, targeting the mainstream graphics market.
Though GTS 450 was beated by the GTX 260+, it still outperformed Radeon HD 5750.
With a simple cooling solution, the loaded/idle temperature was only 72/38 degrees, and the card operated with an unnoticeable noise level.

Built with 40nm GF106 chip, GTS 450 features 192 stream processors, 32 texture units, Core/Proc/Memory clock of 783/1566/3608MHz.
GTS 450 was beated by the GTX 260+, it still outperformed Radeon HD 5750.

Some of the stats seem a little bad for GTS 450 considering that it performs below the GTS 250.
The pricing would decide the future of this card I guess.
 
i think it would be good if we wait for the official review ...

so till then cannot say nothing about htis card..

but one thing is for sure it will give tough competition to hd 5770 and hd 5750
 
The price suggests that it could lose to the HD5770. Only thing I trust from that review is that it'll be a terrific overclocker. Losing to the GTS250 is absurd.
 
after seein review i think both hd 5770 and asus gtx 450 are somewhat show same performance but in some games like crysis and farcry the hd 5770 is winner as compared to asus gtx 450

so the main factor which will decide the success of this new card will be cost ..so if nvidia is really concerned then the price of this graphic card should be less than hd 5770 .

now hd 5770 hawk edition is available for 9500 to 10000 inr (keep in mind hawk edition will perform better than traditional hd 5770 as it is tweaked by msi)in nehru place

so this new offering from nvidia should make this card available at 8000 to 9000 inr if they are really conscious and what to take the share of ati in this segment..

otherwise ati will rule in this segment of 8000 to 10000 inr

i have read some news from other sites they are saying this gtx 460 card will be priced between 130 $ and 150 $.

so even considering this card to b 160$ after including all taxes then i think this willl be a good buy and will definitely now it will give tough competition to amd.

but these are just speculations we will come to know the real price when it will be released in market.:)
