Graphic Cards gtx 260 vs hd 5770??

i am confused between gtx260 and hd 5770(both used).
260 is supposed to be faster than 5770 but the 5770 is newer n supports direct x11.
don't know much about it so which one should i go for guys?

What PSU do u have? What price are u getting them for? What resolution do u game at?

Btw the performance differnce between GTX260 216SP 896MB and HD5770 is only ~10%. I would say grab the HD5770 if u are getting it for decent price(Plus i guess it will 2 yrs warranty left too )

5770 for around 6k and 260 oc edition for around 6.6k....

both has over 2 years warranty.

am using tagan tg500 ud7,will be gaming at 1440X900 for now...but looking for something with more headroom

Buy HD5770, wud b more than enough for gaming at 1440x900 resolution...

Go for 5770 any day.It has a TDp of 108 w whereas the GTX 260 stock has a TDP of 182 w.ur oc'ed edition will be even more power hungry.the 5770 is also cheaper which adds another brownie point.Besides it has Dx11 support

Ya u have good smps! so why not get the better performer here..Gtx 260 oc should be ahead by 12-15 % in most games..260 for 6.5k is a good deal..But if u want dx 11 then 5770..

I would recommend the GTX 260, if your pc is not on 24x7, as the electricity costs would matter then. It's quite faster, and O.C. edition, will be even faster.

dx11 vs dx10 is not exactly an issue u know. when dx11 supported games come out then its an issue. or for that fact when dx10 games come out in large volumes then we will see!! get the 5770.. oc it urself if necessary!!
