Hello,

I' am getting a good deal on Sapphire ATI 7870 for 17k.So should I go with 7870 or 660 is better choice ?? I found that these cards are pretty closely matched except that nVidia has PhysX.

Also is Sapphire good in performance and warranty thing ?

PS : Is getting 7850 advisable if I consider price to performance ratio ?

w1nD As muzux2 said you'll get gains from latest drivers,You'd go with Sapphire HD7870 OC,It's a very good deal you're getting for 17k,Sapphire is very good company it handles RMA well and sapphire has given 3 years warranty for the GPU's.You can overclock the GPU for better performance,You'll get 10-15 FPS gain in games after Ocing the GPU.

Gains won't be substantial always with latest drivers. Though, 17k is really a good deal. However, If you had to choose between GTX 660 and HD 7850, it had to be GTX 660 but against HD 7870, it looses. Remember, GTX 660 costs only 14.5K whereas HD 7870 costs nearly 19.5K. HD 7870 when overclocked will give you 8-10 fps easily. Go for it :)

PS Can you get me HD 7870 @ 17k ? :23:

How about a 660 Ti and the 7870, which is the better between these two?

Its this mode that I'm getting, So i'm assuming its very good deal.
ashis_lakra Also once I get one I will contact you, is that fine ? :)
Orija 660Ti is slightly better but price is more

muzux2 and Jakob thanks :) ordering 7870 ;)

@w1nD , I just saw a sale thread on other forum [E] where a User was selling Asus GTX 580 for 13k !! It seems a very good deal too. Check it out if you've time, and yeah ping me when you decide to get HD 7870 at same price.

If you are an enthusiast and an overclocker, go with ati 7870. If you game at 1920*1200 or below and want peace of mind and quality performance with all the games, just buy 660ti. Its around 19.5 k now. IF you are ready to play with low amount of anti aliasing and a resolution below 1920*1200, you will be able to max out 99% of the games with a framerate of over 60 all the time(you will still need a sandy or ivy bridge processor especially for multiplayer games)
