which one to import from US

MSI gtx 970 100ME edition = $348
or
MSI gtx 980 gaming 4g = $480

is it worth to buy gtx 980 with extra $132 compared to gtx 970????
 
Depends on what you are gaming at, do you want all the eye candy ?
1080p to 1200p / GTX 970 or 980 .

Anything over 1440p with everything set to ultra , you need a 980 Ti.
 
neither. if your dropping that kind of money on a gpu then i'd suggest you wait till june-july. new finfet gpus are coming out. from what's been seen so far, massive performance gains are expected.

so u mean nvidia pascal series cards will be available in market in 4-5 months?? ima doubting it will not reach market until next year..
 
Rather than going for Titan SLI get a 980Ti SLI. As it is more value for buck and will perform nearly as fast a Titan SLI.

polaris is due in june-july (as hinted by amd), pascal isn't very far behind and is expected this year too (2nd half though)
either way, you get a choice of either polaris or price drops on maxwell in 4-5 months.
p.s. you can get a gtx 970 for ~25-27k in India so importing from the us for $348 seems unnecessary as warranty might not be valid (and it's only 2-3k more).
importing from us for anything above a 970 makes good savings however. (980/980ti are ~50-60k here)
 
thnx all guys for replying......... looks its better to wait for 4 -5 months either to get a new series card or will get a 980 ti with drop in price
