GuildWars - playable on 56k?

How good of an experience will it be playing with 400ms on their servers?
The lag I don't mind as much as the streaming updates, if it regularly keeps uploading 10's of megabytes as updates, my 56k will choke.

I read many comments by 56k'ers that the game barely uses even 1kbps under normal conditions, so that should be ok.
But how often will I be required to download updates and how big are they?
 
How much are you getting Guild war for ?
And lol you are yet on 56k ?
400 ms is high for any game, dont they have any demos where you can check out the expereince ?

->I USE to play on 500 ms....it didn't get ne probs(well it did in PVP :@ )

->Dlds r easy and don't give no problem...don't know bout 56k though

->Be ready for yr ping criticsm...there r some nice guys but are hard to find and PVP will nearly be senseless (which is a majour part of Guild wars)

Arreh was thinking about getting from that Baasha guy who's willing to source stuff from US.

I am mostly interested in the instances, PvP doesn't interest me much even though GW is PvP oriented.
Plan to play it for 6 months or so like Diablo2 then discard it once I get bored.

Sesar you don't know how big the updates were?
You played the boxed edition or the direct2download version which downloads entire areas as you progress towards them?

Well lag only hurts in PVP...so u should be fine

No updates r small if u play regularly...and i buyed boxed edition, sold it after some really bad PVP experiences (a guy 20 lvl below u comes and kills u :@ )

But i think u WILL get bored as it is hard to avoid PVP's in Guild Wars
