Hack/crack to skip steam updates?

Hi guys,i just got civ v goty from flipkart at 300rs,

Now steam is forcing me to download 4gb worth of updates;i have poor internet till may,any options??

Cant the game be hacked to run without downloading any updates launched during past few years???

Note to mods-i dont think so there is any illegal thinking here.i just wanna play a game without downloading 5 year worth of updates.

Try running steam in offline mode and playing the game.
