0-20k Hackintosh laptop : Asus X53U vs Asus X54C

I need a new laptop and I am thinking of 'hacintoshing' it, using original Apple OS of course. I really like X53U but it runs on AMD C50. X54C's has PDC and also has a larger HDD but costs 2K more.

Can I use the AMD laptop for a Hackintosh system? I will be mainly using this laptop for design (using mainly photoshop) and web projects. I will appreciate your suggestions. Thanks.

To start with, you are concerned with saving 2K ....... But hardly worried about losing the warranty on your laptop (apart from other issues that will arise) :annoyed:

Well - Hackintoshing on an AMD-PC has never been easy & on an AMD based laptop is all the more tricky and very difficult.

It could work on Intel based laptops - However please check if anyone has managed to do so on the same model that you wish to buy.

CONCLUSION:
If the work that you do is dependent on a mac - then it's best to go for a mac book or else be prepared to blow up your money on a brave R&D venture.

Hello guys, I need your advice to buy a laptop which is very urgent for me and budget should be within 10k - 12k.
Not for gaming or Photoshop purpose. Only basic configuration and any good brand will do. Please suggest.
