You should not just compare companies but the exact models that you are deciding upon.
But as a general rule whirlpool quality is not good, i have seen many dissatisfied whirlpool owners. Haier is the world leader in white goods and of better quality.
If it is cheaper then definitely haeir over whirlpool.
